Last Sunday, those who gathered for the in-person worship service at Emmanuel had us pray for:

Family, friends, and neighbors, who are sick or who have entered hospice care
All who are living with cancer
Our nation and our interconnected world
Peace for all who suffer violence
Strength to be good Christians
Students and school staff as the new school year begins and for children in countries that do not provide education for all
That angry words may turn into words of love
People who are forgotten or overlooked in Haiti, Gaza, Ukraine, Syria, China, Korea, El Salvador, and the United States
The work of Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Disaster Response in the wake of this summer's many climate disasters
Us to have the the leaders that God deserves, not the ones that we deserve
All who are traveling
Those who work on the Labor Day holiday
Healing and peace for those with chronic illnesses
A safe and happy Labor Day weekend for everyone
All who are lost or in need of help
The people of Nepal
All job seekers
Those known and unknown, whose lives are damaged by our thoughtless decisions

And with thanksgiving for:
The rain
The beauty of the changing seasons
