Last Sunday those who gathered for in-person worship at Emmanuel had us pray for:
Family, friends, congregation members and all who are sick, hospitalized, grieving, or recovering from surgery
Those who struggle to get a good night's sleep
Safe homecomings for all who travel
All who struggle with depression and anxiety
Immigrants and refugees, that they find safe homes and a warm welcome
Peace in the Middle East
All who are affected by Ebola in the Congo and Kenya and for those who are working to end this outbreak
High School graduates in our congregation and communities at this time of endings and new beginnings
People who are fighting in wars
Women in Afghanistan who do not have the same rights that men have
Those who suffer emotionally or in some other way
God's guidance, strength, and love to overcome moments of anger, fear, grief, and loneliness
Members of the U.S. military, that they stay safe in combat and that they are treated equally by those in leadership
All who have trouble finding help
and with thanksgiving for those who provide healthcare
