Wednesday, December 11, 2019 Psalm 31:23-24
23 Love the Lord, all you his saints.
The Lord preserves the faithful,
but abundantly repays the one who acts haughtily.
24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord.
More Than You Would Think
How many of us can claim that we wait on the LORD? I would say that there are many of those people here at Emmanuel, maybe even more than you would think. Pastor Amanda does say that we are all saints of God! O let the saints come marching in!
So, take heart all you who sing in the choir or ring bells or serve on the alter guild or property committee! Be strong you Sunday School teachers or finance committee members or welcome ministry members! Take heart worship assistants and nursery volunteers and coffee hour hosts! For you all wait for the LORD! Be confident that the LORD will preserve you!
Let us pray. Gracious God, thank you for giving us a chance to serve you and promising us a spectacular return for our sacrifice to you! Amen.
