Service projects that the congregation supports during the year include the following which are announced during worship services:
Lutheran Social Services Christmas Gift Drive – Collection and delivery of new gifts donated for a young mother and/or children in therapeutic foster care, in response to their “wish list”.
Friends of the Mentally Ill – Collection and delivery of small donated Christmas gifts to the collection point in Medfield.
Quilts – Each year members of Emmanuel create 100+ quilts for Lutheran World Relief. (https:/lwr.org/quilts)
Health Kits and School Kits – Are assembled and sent to Lutheran World Relief for distribution worldwide. (https:lwr.org/schoolkits & https://lwr.org/perseonalcarekits
One-time donations – For example, specific articles have been given to Ruth House (a Welcome Bundle of baby items), Home for Little Wanderers (toiletries), Veterans Administration patients (games), and Father Bill’s Place (boxes of socks).
