We have critically low stock – and the needs are still high

The Food Pantry stock is critically low, and we need your help. This time of the year our shelves are bare, and we still have a high demand from hungry families. Here are the top, most wanted items:
*Pasta (spaghetti) Sauce
*Canned Fruit (applesauce, peaches, pears, fruit cocktail, pineapple, etc.)
*White (Albacore) Tuna or Canned Chicken
*Chowders, Vegetable Beef, Chicken Noodle, Minestrone, Cream of *Mushroom-Chicken-Celery, etc.
*Canned Meats – Beef Stew, Hash, Spam, Chili, etc.
*Crunchy Peanut Butter

How to Donate Food

The cycle of hunger never stops, which includes the need for food donations year round. The Norwood Food Pantry could really use your donations of Canned Meats and Tuna, Canned Pasta, Canned Fruit, Mac and Cheese, Pasta (dry spaghetti) and Spaghetti Sauce, Peanut Butter and Rice. Donations can be brought to the pantry on Thursday or Saturday morning (150 Chapel St, Norwood) or placed in the bins located at the library, Shaw’s, or Stop n Shop.

How to Donate Money

We often need to purchase hygiene and household products that aren’t donated. Your donation will support the purchases we need to make, as well as the normal costs of operations (office supplies, shelving, etc.) The Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, so your contribution is fully tax deductible. All contributions will be acknowledged. Donations can be made in honor of a special occasion or in memory of someone.
