We begin our celebrations for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation with a showing of the movie, Luther, which gives a compelling overview of the events in Martin Luther’s life before and after the posting of the 95 theses. Luther is rated PG13 and is appropriate viewing for teenagers and adults. There are images of violence and complex themes that make it inappropriate for young children.
The movie will be shown on Saturday, February 4th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Founder’s Room. We will begin our get together with a potluck dinner. Those attending are asked to bring a main dish, salad, or dessert to share. (The movie is two hours long, so our get together will probably last from 6:00-9:30 to make time for lunch, the movie, and discussion.) Please sign up on the table outside of the Pastor Amanda’s office if you plan to attend.
The snow date for the movie will be February 11th. Those who sign up will be contacted if we have to cancel due to weather.
